Lansdale Catholic Grad Among Those Injured In New Orleans Truck Attack
The victim, a Montgomery County native, was also a graduate of Princeton University and a star football player.

LANSDALE, PA — A recent Lansdale Catholic graduate and former Princeton University football player was among dozens injured in the New Orleans truck attack early on New Year's morning.
Ryan Quigley, a native of Lansdale, 2016 Lansdale Catholic graduate and 2020 Princeton graduate, is expected to survive.
At least 15 people were killed and dozens more were injured when a former Army sergeant from Texas drove a truck into a crowd on Bourbon Street in New Orleans just after midnight.

Quigley was in New Orleans with his best friend and former Princeton teammate Tiger Bech, who was killed in the attack.
"We are incredibly proud to count Ryan among our graduates, and we are inspired by the ways in which his LC classmates are coming together to support his family during this difficult time," Lansdale Catholic said in a statement.

The extent of Quigley's injuries are not clear at this time, though a GoFundMe started by former teammates said he is "undergoing treatment as he begins the road to recovery."
Quigley was a two-time MVP of the Philadelphia Catholic League while in high school and went on to be a key cog in some of the most offensively powerful Princeton football teams in school history.
Both men lived in New York City and worked together at Seaport Global, a brokerage firm, according to the Associated Press.
Nearly $80,000 has been raised to support Quigley's treatment and Bech's funeral costs through the GoFundMe.
The FBI is investigating the attack as an act of terrorism. The driver was Shamsud-Din Jabbar, 42, a U.S. citizen from Texas, the agency said. An ISIS flag was found inside the truck and investigators say they are working to determine if he worked alone and to confirm any outside allegiances.
