Lansdale Continuing To Plow 48 Miles Of Borough-Owned Roadways
The snow emergency was lifted at noon Monday, meaning parking restrictions are no longer in place. What to know:
LANSDALE, PA — Lansdale is continuing to dig itself out from the major snowstorm that hit the area Sunday, as the snow emergency was lifted at noon Tuesday. That means that residents may now return to parking as normal.
Salt trucks and plows remain on the roads throughout the borough, and local officials asked residents for patience. Lansdale alone has 48 miles of borough-owned streets to plow, in addition to the state roads that pass through the area controlled by PennDOT.
Anywhere from 8 to 12 inches of snow fell around the five county Philadelphia area Sunday.

"No two storms are the same," Lansdale officials said Monday morning. "Temperature, wind direction and speed, the rate snow falls, duration, accumulation and daylight all play a factor in how our crews must adapt to each storm."

Once all the main roads are cleared up, public works crews will rest and then look at the "feasibility" of plowing alleyways.
"While you may not see a crew on your street, please know that they are out working," officials added.
North Penn School District held a virtual instruction day Monday, while most other nearby districts had a traditional snow day. A decision has not yet been made for Tuesday.
