Lansdale Founders Day Is Saturday: Fireworks And More
One of the most exciting days of the year in Lansdale is here. Here's what you need to know.
LANSDALE, PA — One of the most exciting days of the year in Lansdale is here. The annual Founders Day celebrations will be held on Saturday, Aug. 26.
The celebration will begin at 10 a.m. Fireworks will commence at 9 p.m. at Penndale Middle School.

- Opening Ceremony, 10 am, Lansdale Historical Society, Jenkins Avenue — Honoring the late Rev. Dr. Sue Bertolette of St. John's UCC with the annual Lifetime Achievement Award.
- Annual Health & Wellness Fair, with free health screenings, entertainment and vendors, sponsored by The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Montgomery County, 10 am - 2 pm at Railroad Plaza
- Festival of the Arts, 10 am - 3 pm, Memorial Park. 34th annual juried show and sale in the park, with food and beverages and performing arts. Sponsored by the Lansdale Department of Parks and Recreation.
- Lansdale Historical Society Open House, 11 am - 3 pm, Jenkins Homestead, Jenkins Ave. Tour the home of Lansdale's famous family.
- St. John’s UCC Tour, 11 am - 3 pm, 500 West Main Street. Featuring the sanctuary and its stained glass windows.
- Model Trains display, 11 am - 4 pm, Fairmount Fire Co. 100 Vine Street — and check out the brand new Ladder 14.
- Main Street Walking Tour, organized by the Lansdale Historical Society. “Main Street Survivors” focuses on century-old buildings that helped develop Lansdale’s reputation as the region's retail center during the mid-20th Century, and are still standing today. Two options: A self-guided tour that you can take at any time and at your own pace. (2) A guided tour that will step off at 1 p.m. Saturday from the SEPTA Railroad Station. Download the tour information guide at https://lansdalehistory.org/..... and carry it as you walk Main Street. Printed copies available at the Jenkins Homestead, 137 Jenkins Ave. from 11 am to 3 pm.
- Police Station Tours, 1 pm - 4 pm, at the Lansdale Police Station, 1 Vine Street.District Court Tour. Visit the courtroom and chambers of Magisterial District Judge Edward Levine for an open house, 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm, at 430 Pennbrook Parkway (in Pennbrook Plaza). You might even catch an arraignment or two!
- Beer Garden, 1 pm - 7 pm Century Plaza Lot behind 100 West Main St.
- Live Music Performances, Mike Guldin Rollin' and Tumblin', 1 - 3:30 pm; Philly Funk Authority, 4:30 - 7 pm, Century Plaza Lot behind 100 West Main St.
- Family Entertainment and Food Festival, with RC cars, photo booth, mini-golf and moon bounces, plus food trucks including Philly Funnel Cakes, Sweet Thangs and Tot Rod. 1 pm- 7 pm, Green Street.
- Grand Fireworks Finale, about 9 pm. View from Line Street and Penndale Middle School.
