Lansdale Uber Driver Sentenced For Raping Unconscious Passenger
The Uber driver who raped an unconscious woman after picking her up from Valley Forge Casino has been sentenced to prison.

CHESTER COUNTY, PA — The Uber driver who raped an unconscious woman after picking her up from Valley Forge Casino in 2018 has been sentenced to prison.
Ahmed Mostafa Elgaafary, 27, of Lansdale, has been sentenced to 7 to 20 years behind bars, Judge Patrick Carmody ruled on Tuesday afternoon, according to court documents.
He was convicted in August at the conclusion of a week-long trial on charges of rape of unconscious victim, sexual assault, indecent assault person unconscious, and indecent assault without consent of other.

The incident occurred back on Feb. 10, 2018 sometime after 2 a.m.
Elgaafary was supposed to drive her straight home, but instead raped her before dropping her off, state police said.

Elgaafary, a native of Egypt, initially argued that no sexual contact had taken place, according to Chester County District Attorney Tom Hogan.
He then reversed course and claimed it was consensual sex, when DNA results from a rape kit came back, former Chester County District Attorney Tom Hogan said at the time of conviction.
Elgaafary will also be assessed to determine whether he is classified as a sexually violent predator.
He has been held at Chester County Prison on $75,000 bail since August.
