Lower State Road To Be Restricted In Montgomery Township
Additional traffic could hit the Montgomery Township area as Lower State Road is restricted this week.

MONTGOMERY TOWNSHIP, PA — Additional traffic could hit the Montgomery Township area as Lower State Road is restricted this week, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT).
Closures will be in place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. from Tuesday, Aug. 29 through Thursday, Aug. 31 on Lower State Road between County Line Road and Limekiln Pike, officials said.
The closures are due to milling and paving in the area.

Motorists should expect delays.
James D. Morrissey, Inc. of Philadelphia is the general contractor on the $14,793,565 contract, officials said. The project is financed with 80 percent federal and 20 percent state funds.

Construction on the entire project is expected to finish in Sept. 2018.
