The incident took place Saturday, July 22, at around 11:46 p.m. at a home on the 2400 block of East Orvilla Road, the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office said. The owners, Whitney and Derrick Cosby, were hosting a barbeque.

The Chasteens were reportedly in the car ready to leave, but Felicia wouldn't let Jeremy drive because she thought he was intoxicated. They went back inside, and in the ensuing moments, a crowd of people separated the two, there was a gunshot, and in the wake of it, Jeremy Chasteen was dead, according to his widow's account.

Mystery abounds. Felicia Chasteen told 6ABC that she didn't see who shot her husband. But the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office said they knew who the shooter was. And more than that, the DA said the shooter called 911 and stayed inside the home until police arrived.

Despite this, no shooter or suspect has been arrested. And police have not commented further on the circumstances surrounding the shooting. No motive has been addressed by any party.

The incident remains under investigation.
