Man Severely Beats Woman With Metal Chair In Lansdale Bar Fight: Report

There was reportedly a large puddle of blood left on the sidewalk.

A Towamencin man was arrested after allegedly severely beating a woman with a metal chair during a Lansdale bar fight on November 26, according to a report.

Ryan James Copenhaver, 22, was one of about six individuals involved in a fight in a Walgreens parking lot across the street from the Lansdale Tavern near 800 West Main Street, the report states.

Copenhaver, who was reportedly drunk along with his brother, first became angry when he bought a six pack to go and opened one of the beers inside the bar, and the bar staff told him to leave because it was after closing hours, according to The Reporter.

However, it appears that other customers remained inside the bar despite the fact that the bar had “closed.”

Copenhaver punched a man inside the bar, and then, during a fight that spilled outside the bar, he hit a woman he had been trying to pick up earlier over the head with a metal chair, and then punched her in the head several times, the report states.
