Marco Rubio Brings Campaign To Montgomery County
"A Republican is going to win this state (Pennsylvania) for President," Rubio told the crowd, to raucous applause.
Presidential candidate and Florida Republican Senator Marco Rubio was in King of Prussia Thursday night, stopping off to speak to the Chester County Republican Party.
Rubio gave remarks at the Crowne Plaza during the Chester County GOP’s annual Fall Reception, highlighting his vision for the country and touching on foreign policy issues, but chiefly focusing on education and the economy.
“In 2016, for the first time in a long time,” Rubio said, “A Republican is going to win this state for president.”

Rubio noted a concern for the strength of the military overseas, frustration with building student debt, and a desire to inspire more young people to get excited about pursuing vocational trades. He said it was “wrong” that kids had ever been told that going to college for a four year degree was the only path to success.
Several local lawmakers were on hand, including Chester County’s U.S. Rep. Ryan Costello.
