The sustainability of the culinary arts institute is the subject of a three-minute movie created by MCCC that is part of a Climate Leadership Awards Video Voting Competition.
The Culinary Arts Institute at Montgomery County Community College is cooking up green cuisine—and it wants the world to know. A video about the Culinary Arts Institute's sustainability practices has been entered into a national contest.
Since opening its doors in August 2013, the college’s Culinary Arts Institute has partnered with Sustainable Waste Solutions to convert 100 percent of its waste into energy or materials. That means trash, recycling and food trimmings are kept out of a landfill.
