NORTH WALES, PA — The teenager who went missing earlier this week in Montgomery County has been located safely, police said.

The announcement came through just before 1 p.m. on Thursday.

The 15-year-old girl had gone missing on Jan. 15 at about 5 p.m. from her North Wales home.

Authorities did not elaborate further on the circumstances of her disappearance or where she was found, but thanked the public for their assistance.
