Montco Apartment Complex Without Heat For Weeks Amid Dangerous Cold
As wind chills plummet to negative 15, residents in a local apartment complex have not had heat since mid-December.
EAST GREENVILLE, PA — A Montgomery County apartment complex is going on six weeks without any heat as the region undergoes a brutal stretch of subzero wind chills, according to officials and multiple media reports.
The heating system at the Willows at East Greenville has been broken since Dec. 18, WFMZ reported. Residents have been using space heaters to try to keep warm, but temperatures still routinely drop into the 40s in their bedrooms at night, according to NBC10.
The Willows, located on 401 W. 4th Street, are owned by Ingerman Management Company, a management firm which has 88 different properties around the region. They say they're working with a contractor to fix the heating issue, but they haven't been able to resolve it yet.

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development has also cited the facility as a key "use case" in transitioning existing infrastructure into affordable housing.
