Montco Community College Named 'Most Promising Place To Work'
The school's welcoming and inclusive environment make it the best community college atmosphere in the nation, awardees said.
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — Montgomery County Community College is once again getting some much deserved national recognition, this time as a workplace.
The school was recognized with the Most Promising Places to Work in Community Colleges award, with special recognition for its supportive workplace and inclusive learning environment.
“At Montgomery County Community College, our deep commitment to equity, diversity and belonging is engrained in every aspect of our policies, practices and daily work,” MCCC President Victoria L. Bastecki-Perez said in a statement. “Receiving this national recognition for the seventh time demonstrates who we are as an institution – one with an inclusive culture where everyone feels valued and respected through the collective efforts of our faculty, staff, administrators and Board of Trustees.”

Montco was one of just 20 schools nationwide to earn the recognition.
The school noted several programs its instituted that have created the culture that exists today, including the strategic "Montco for All - Building our Future" comprehensive plan, which touts equity as a key value.

In addition to MCCC, other schools honored included Austin Community College, Bergen Community College, Blinn College, Broward College, Community College of Allegheny County, Garden City Community College, Harrisburg Area Community College, Hudson County Community College, Joliet Junior College, Lorain County Community College, Malcolm X College (City Colleges of Chicago), McLennan Community College, National Park College, Nicolet College, Northeast Lakeview College, Nunez Community College, Olive-Harvey College, Pellissippi State Community College, and San Antonio College.
