Montco VA Outpatient Clinic Flagged Over Wait Times

An outpatient clinic in Horsham is one of six Veteran’s Affairs health facilities in Pennsylvania flagged for further investigation over wait times and scheduling concerns.

The Horsham/Willow Grove Community Based Outpatient Clinic was flagged in a recent audit released Monday by the VA. The audit was prompted over complaints of long wait times and scheduling issues at VA hospitals and clinics nationwide.

The Community Outpatient Clinic, located on Caredean Dr. in Horsham, provides primary care services for veterans in Montgomery County and surrounding areas.

“We are immediately redoubling our efforts to quickly address delays in veterans’ health care. VHA is identifying where veterans are waiting for care and ensuring that timely, quality care is made available as quickly as possible,”the VA said in the audit report.

Other health facilities in Pennsylvania that will be further reviewed include:

• University Drive, Pittsburgh
• Altoona VA Medical Center
• Lebanon VA Medical Center
• Erie VA Medical Center
