Montco's U.S. Rep. Boyle To Hold Town Hall Meeting Series
Montgomery County's U.S. Rep. Brendan Boyle (D-13) will be holding a series of town hall meetings over the next several months.

Montgomery County's U.S. Rep. Brendan Boyle (D-13) will be holding a series of town hall meetings over the next several months, his office announced.
The next event will take place on Sunday, Feb. 26 from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Springfield.
The event for Pennsylvania's 13th Congressional district, which covers much of Montgomery County and parts of Philadelphia, comes of the heels of a national uproar over town halls in recent days.

Many Republican Congressman are refusing to hold town hall meetings after several events drew raucous crowds and quickly became out of hand. President Trump has weighed in on the issue on Twitter, claiming that the loud protesters were pre-planned by "liberal activists."
The so-called angry crowds in home districts of some Republicans are actually, in numerous cases, planned out by liberal activists. Sad!

Instead of facing these crowds, many Congressmen are opting for "tele-town halls" where constituents are urged to call in. In the Philadelphia area, U.S. Rep. Ryan Costello (R-6) held just such an event on Wednesday. Costello was invited to a town hall organized by a private, left-leaning political action group on Saturday, but he declined the invite, calling it a "political stunt."
