Montgomery Township Hires New Recreation Director
Brian Forman was previously employed as Recreation Operations Manager for the City of Apopka, Fla.

The Montgomery Township Board of Supervisors has appointed Brian Forman as the new Director of Recreation & Community Center.
“We picked Brian because we liked his enthusiasm, his personality, in addition to the skill set he has and the history he has, being a recreation director and working on major projects. I think he’s exactly what we need,” Supervisors Chairman Joe Walsh said.
Forman holds an M.A. degree in Sports Administration from Ball State University and a B.S. degree in Recreation Administration from York College, according to information from the township. Most recently, he worked for the City of Apopka, Fla., where he was the Recreation Operations Manager.

“Brian has worked for 18 years in the recreation field, which gives him the experience needed for his new responsibilities of planning, directing and managing the daily operations of Montgomery Township’s recreation programs and facilities,” the township said in a statement.
Forman will be responsible for managing the new multi-purpose recreation and community center slated to open next year. He will also be in charge of developing, managing and evaluating a comprehensive and innovative recreation program that will include cultural, educational, and athletic activities, leisure programs, day camps, and special events, according to the township.
