Montgomery Township Resident Merle Ochrach Elected to Board of Directors of Montgomery Theater

Merle R. Ochrach, Esq., principal in the Real Estate Department of Hamburg, Rubin, Mullin, Maxwell & Lupin, PC, was recently elected to the Board of Directors of Montgomery Theater in Souderton, PA.

Montgomery Theater is a not-for-profit theater housed in the structure that was once the Souderton firehouse. “On April 30, 1993 Montgomery Theater Project took occupancy of the lower level of the firehouse, transforming the old banquet hall and senior center into a 70-seat theater. In 2002 the main floor of the structure, formerly the engine room, was renovated into a professional 122-seat theater called the Main Stage. Every year Montgomery Theater stages five productions on its Main Stage and two children’s productions, educational programs for adults and children, and experimental theater on its lower level Project Stage.”

Merle Ochrach has been practicing real estate law for over twenty years and represents numerous municipalities, municipal authorities (water and sewer and industrial development authorities), developers and homeowners. Because of her in-depth knowledge of the requirements of local governments, as well as the procedures for obtaining approvals and permits, she is sought after by developers and homeowners for help with a wide array of issues. Merle has extensive experience in negotiating and drafting commercial leases and has developed an expertise in addressing lease issues for retail, commercial and industrial centers. Additionally, Merle aids realtors with advice on problematic issues that arise in the course of a real-estate transaction.
