Electro Soft Inc., an electronics manufacturer based on 113 Keystone Drive, has teamed up with a Delaware County business to create hundreds of face shields.

Together, Electro Soft and Boothwyn's Nielsen-Kellerman have donated to healthcare workers around the region, including at St. Christopher's Children's Hospital, Temple University Hospital, and elsewhere.
“I think in the long run, companies will be tooling up more automated manufacturing and the PPE shortage will ease, but in the short run, companies with domestic manufacturing are filling the gap," said Alix James, the CEO of Nielsen-Kellerman.

Employees are coordinating volunteer efforts to scale up production, and are hopeful to eventually produce 1,000 shields a week. Hospitals need hundreds of face shields per day.
