North Penn To Honor Local Heroes On Veterans Day
North Penn will celebrate Veterans Day through a variety of programs in its schools on Friday.
LANSDALE, PA — The North Penn School District is planning a series of events on Friday to honor local heroes for Veterans Day, which is officially this Saturday, Nov. 11.
On Friday, JROTC cadets will perform an assembly to honor veterans at Gwyn-Nor Elementary School on Friday, Nov. 10 at 10:15 a.m.
The Builders Club at North Wales Elementary School will be joined by local veterans from in the classroom from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., the district announced. The club partners with community nonprofits on various volunteer projects. Veterans will spend the morning reading to students.

Finally, fourth graders at York Avenue Elementary will write letters and cards to service members overseas on Friday morning.
Gwyn-Nor Elementary School is located at 139 Hancock Road in North Wales. North Wales Elementary School is located at 201 Summit St. in North Wales. York Avenue Elementary School is located at 700 York Avenue in Lansdale.
