LANSDALE, PA — A town hall event organized by students will feature the 12 candidates running for six North Penn school board positions in the 2019 election next month.

The debate will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 16 at 7 p.m. at the North Penn High School auditorium.

The event will be entirely student-run, with staffers of The Knight Crier, the school's student newspaper, serving as debate moderators, organizers, and timekeepers.

“I think it’s important to hold an event like this because in this political climate, I think it’s easy for students to feel disheartened and powerless, and they feel they can’t affect any of the issues they hear about in the news,” said Knight Crier editor Alexis Bamford.
