North Penn Student Wins US Congressional App Challenge Award
A North Penn senior has been recognized by U.S. Congress for his advanced app, Kolb Library.

LANSDALE, PA — A North Penn senior has been recognized as one of the winners of a unique competition organized by the U.S. House of Representatives.
Neelay Velingker designed an advanced mobile app which was chosen by politicians as among the best submitted to the "Congressional App Challenge," which aims to encourage excellence and interest in computer science.
Neelay's app, designed for Android users, is called Kolb Library. It's a comprehensive catalogue system that can maintain thousands of books and users, according to Neelay:

Neelay is one of six students in Pennsylvania and 200 across the country to be named an App Challenge winner.

Neelay, along with North Penn business teacher Linda Westerlund, will demonstrate their apps for members of Congress during a reception on Capitol Hill this spring.
