Montgomery County Woman Struck By SEPTA Train Line Committed Suicide: Report

Deanna Posavec, 40, died after being struck near the Pennsylvania Avenue overpass.

The North Wales woman who was struck and killed by a SEPTA train between the North Wales and Gwynedd Valley stops Tuesday morning committed suicide, according to the Times Herald.

The incident took place just before 6 a.m. Tuesday morning along the Lansdale/Doylestown line, according to media reports.

The engineer blew his horn and applied the brake but could not avoid Posavec, according to the report.

Trains resumed normal service at about 9:45 a.m.

It’s the second death in the last few weeks along the Lansdale/Doylestown line. In June, a woman committed suicide by stepping in front of the train near Ambler.
