Portion of Orvilla Road Closed 'Indefinitely': PennDOT
The road is closed between Independence Way and Clymer Road in Hatfield Township because of a structurally-deficient bridge.

A portion of Orvilla Road in Hatfield Township has been closed ”indefinitely” due to structural damage to the bridge over the Neshaminy Creek, PennDOT said Monday.
The road is closed between Independence Way and Clymer Road.
During the closure, Orville Road through traffic will be detoured over Cowpath Road, Broad Street and Route 309. Local access will be maintained up the construction zone.

PennDOT said the closure was necessary because the two-span bridge, built in 1874, is structurally deficient. The bridge carried 7,259 vehicles a day, PennDOT estimates.
PennDOT has a project in preliminary engineering to rehabilitate the bridge.
