Route 309 in Hatfield closed following crash

One person reportedly transported to hospital via helicopter

A serious two-car accident in Hatfield Township closed Route 309 in both directions Friday night. The highway was closed between Unionville Pike and Sterling Drive.

A BNN bulletin described one person being transported "in traumatic arrest" to Temple University Hospital.

A beige or tan sedan and a dark colored SUV were visible at the scene. The SUV appeared to have broadsided the sedan.

Officials at the scene declined to answer questions and denied a reporter access to the area.
