Search Continues For Missing Montco Mother As New Details Emerge

Police said that they've had a few leads to follow up on, but no "starting point" from which to launch a targeted search.

SOUDERTON, PA — The search for a missing Montgomery County woman, who has not been seen for more than a month, remains ongoing throughout the region, authorities and family members said.

Christi Troiano, 56, has not been seen since she left her family's home in Souderton early in the morning on April 25.

Her family released an updated missing person flyer over the weekend that offered new details. Troiano left at 12:30 a.m. in her black 2009 Acura TL after indicating that she wanted to harm herself, family and police said. At the time, family said they believed she was just going out to get a pack of cigarettes.

She was then spotted an hour later, at 1:30 p.m., on Cowpath Road in Hatfield Township, making a right turn onto Orvilla Road.

"Given the close location of that intersection to her home and the hour gap in time, it raises questions as to whether she stopped somewhere first," her family shared of the "In Search of Christi Troiano" Facebook page, which has nearly a thousand members. "It’s possible."

Family added that she was texting with her daughter and a few other individuals until around 2:42 a.m., when she stopped responding.

In their latest update, authorities said that they had "a few leads" that they were following up on, but none had been fruitful yet.

"Thanks to all who have been looking, spreading the word, and supporting the family. It is very much appreciated," the Souderton Police Department said in a statement. "Unfortunately, we have no updates on our search efforts. We have no concrete information on where she may be, so we are unable to start a specific search without a starting point."

The family attained a mental health warrant, which means that when someone does find Christi, they'll be able to immediately take her into protective custody.

Police added that there was no evidence of a crime being committed, so they are continuing to investigate her disappearance as a missing persons case.

Information on both Christi and her vehicle has been entered into the National Crime Information Center and the Automatic License Plate Readers databases to assist in the investigation.
Christi frequently visits the Jersey Shore and Atlantic City casinos, as well as parks in Bucks County, police said.

She has blonde hair, blue eyes, is 5 feet, 8 inches tall, and about 130 pounds. She has a tattoo of a water lily on her back, and two or three piercings in each ear.

Her black 2009 Acura TL has a Pennsylvania license plate GJN7484.
