Tour Worcester's Historic Peter Wentz Farmstead By Candlelight

WORCESTER, PA —A special candlit tour of the historic Peter Wentz Farmstead in Worcester will be held next month.
The event will be a "glimpse into candlelit seasonal entertaining traditions typical of the 1700s" with live music and even including a vist from the Belsnickel.
It will take place on Saturday, Dec. 1 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Children can meet the Belsnickel (described by organizers as Pennsylvania German for "Saint Nicholas in furs") and take photos with him from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Children may even receive treats.

Guests will be taken at dusk by lantern light to the barn, where they can visit with animals, and later will have the chance to make toasts and sing songs with colonial neighbors, who will be firing their rifles in celebration.
Inside, musician Mark Carrol will play 18th century tunes and food will be cooked on the open hearth.

The restored farmstead dates to the 18th century and is located on 2030 Shearer Road (Lansdale zip code).
