Village Tavern Donates AED's

The Village Tavern’s owners John and Theresa Modestine in conjunction with Bob Babb owner of Physical Therapy and Wellness and The Montgomery Township Business Group recently awarded two local groups with AED’S funded from the Village Tavern’s Annual St Patty’s Day Shock Run which was held in March of this year.

The first recipient is the Montgomery Township Volunteer Fire Department.  The AED awarded will be carried on one of their trucks to save lives of our township residents along with our fireman.  Today one of the leading killers of fireman are heart attacks especially while on the line of duty.  The Village Tavern is proud of this department are we are thrilled to be able to make a difference for not only our local residents but the men and women that go out to save lives during fires and other rescues.

The second recipient goes to the Stony Creek Farms a planned community for men and woman over 55 years of age.  This AED will be housed in their clubhouse.  This community is very active, swimming, running, walking thru the trails, it also includes a fitness room.  Considering the population it is vital to have to have an AED in their community.  Six residents were recently trained and certified on a AED.  The Village Tavern is pleased to know that we can provide peace of mind to these residents.
