Walnut Street Bridge Reopens In Hatfield
Great news: the Walnut Street Bridge in Hatfield is now open to traffic.
HATFIELD, PA — Great news for commuters and residents in the Hatfield area: the Walnut Street Bridge has officially reopened to traffic.
The bridge has been closed since last fall. Construction began on Oct. 24 to replace the deteriorated structure, which had become unsafe for travel.
The bridge runs over a tributary of Neshaminy Creek.

During the closure, traffic had been rerouted over Route 309, Trewigtown Road, and County Line Road.
Design and construction administration for the bridge was provided by McMahon Associates, a transportation engineering and planning business.
