Woman Attacked While Jogging In Montgomery Township: Police

Authorities are asking for the public's help in tracking down the suspect. What to know:

MONTGOMERY TOWNSHIP, PA — A woman was attacked while jogging in Montgomery Township early in the evening Tuesday, police said.

The incident occurred near Longleaf Drive and Westgate Drive at around 5:15 p.m.

The suspect, a white man around 20 years old, came up to the woman from behind, grabbed her arm, and hit her in the face, according to authorities.

The woman then fought back and the man fled the scene. The victim saw him running toward Upper State Road.

The suspect was described as thin and about 6 feet tall. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt pulled closely around his face, so details on his face were hard to decipher, police said.

Police searched the area with canines but were unable to capture him Tuesday night.
