2nd Deadly Motorcycle Crash In 2 Days In Bristol

The crash on Monday happened at 12:38 p.m. on Veterans Highway at Ford Road, Bristol Township Police said.

BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA —For the second time since Saturday, a man was killed in a motorcycle crash in Bristol Township on Monday.

At 12:38 p.m. Monday, Bristol Township Police were called to reports of a crash on Veterans Highway and Ford Road.

Officers learned that a man operating a 2006 Suzuki motorcycle was headed south on Veterans Highway when a 2000 Chevrolet S-10 traveling north attempted to make a left turn onto Ford Road.

The two vehicles crashed as the truck was turning, police said.

The operator of the motorcycle was taken to Lower Bucks Hospital, where he died, according to police Lt. Ralph Johnson. The Chevy's driver was not injured. Police were not identifying either person as of Monday afternoon.

The crash is the second deadly motorcycle crash in Bristol in just over two days.

Early Saturday morning, a man was killed and his female passenger was sent to the hospital when the motorcycle they were riding crashed on Newportville Road near Maple Avenue.

A preliminary investigation showed that the man was driving the motorcycle northbound when he failed to negotiate a curve and the bike fell on its side, slide off of the roadway and hit a tree and two utility poles, police said.
