Alleged Pennsbury Schools Threat Started In Middletown Store: Report

Middletown Police say conversation took place between former Pennsbury High School student and clerk at Michaels.

MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, PA —An alleged threat against the Pennsbury School District last week started in a township store, according to published reports.

Pennsbury Schools Superintendent Thomas Smith had sent a letter to parents about an alleged threat made against three schools Thursday, but later updated it to say that a Lower Makefield Township Police investigation determined there was no threat.

Further details reported by Levittown Now reveal that Middletown Township police were informed of an incident involving a former Pennsbury High School student and a cashier at the Michaels store at Lincoln Plaza.

Smith had sent a letter to parents stating that an individual was overheard at a local store making "non-specific" threats against Pennsbury High School, Charles Boehm Middle School, and Village Park Elementary School.

The published report stated that the individual was tracked down at his Temple University apartment and was taken for a mental health evaluation.
