Mohn reportedly posted a video on YouTube about the crime, shouting about conspiracy theories and holding up his father's decapitated head. A one-minute snippet of the video still posted on social media by BNN Breaking has Mohn calling his father a "traitor to his country."
Philly Crime Update, a city-based news website, posted on X that the former Twitter removed videos of the beheading suspect off its platform that were originally posted on YouTube.
Mohn's Facebook page was also removed early Tuesday morning.
The Bucks County District Attorney’s Office and the Middletown Township Police Department are investigating the homicide.
Middletown Township Police were dispatched at 7 p.m. Tuesday to a home in the 100 block of Upper Orchard Drive in the township's Levittown section for a report of a deceased man.
According to the criminal complaint, Middletown Township Police found a man located in the downstairs bathroom with a large amount of blood around him and that he had been decapitated. A machete was observed in the bathtub, as well as a large kitchen knife.
Sgt. Gracie secured the home by conducting a protective sweep of the house.
Officers located the deceased man's head inside of a plastic bag, which was inside of a cooking pot in a first-floor bedroom next to the bathroom.
In a second first-floor bedroom, police found clear rubber gloves with what appeared to be blood on them and on the desk. In a small trashcan next to the desk, more clear rubber gloves with suspected blood were observed.
The man was identified as 68-year-old Michael F Mohn.
Mohn's wife Denice found her husband. She told police that she had been home around 2 p.m. Tuesday and that her husband and son were the only ones there.
She also reported that a white 2009 Toyota Corolla registered to her husband was in the driveway.
She later arrived home shortly before calling police after finding that the front door was unlocked, and the 2009 Toyota Corolla and her son were missing, the affidavit states.
Police received information about a video posted to YouTube. They reviewed the video, which is posted to a page with the profile picture being Justin Mohn and the name listed as Justin Mohn. The account tag is @justinmohn6542.
There was only one video posted which is titled "Mohn's Militia —Call to Arms for American Patriots."
The video is 14:35 in length and Justin is pictured wearing the same style of clear rubber gloves observed at the crime scene. Mohn also picks up the decapitated head of his father, identifying him by name and as his father, stating "he is now in hell for eternity."
It appears as though he is reading from a pre-recorded script and based on his motion and the sound of keys it appears to be a computer. In the video, Justin Mohn again picks up Michael Mohn's decapitated head inside the cooking pot and displays it on the video.
Detectives viewed the video and crime scene, he confirmed that the gloves, decapitated head, and room are the same as depicted in the video.
Mohn was later located in Fort Indiantown Gap and taken into custody hours later. Police said his vehicle was stopped by the Fort Indian Towns Gap Police Department. Mohn was operating the vehicle.
Authorities said there was no threat to the public.
The Bucks County Coroner's Office responded and will be conducting an autopsy.
The District Attorney's Office said the investigation is active and ongoing and that more details will be released when they become available.
