Bucks County St. Patrick's Day Parade 2018 Details Announced

The 30th annual Bucks County St. Patrick’s Day Parade is set for March 10 in Levittown. The parade will start at 10:30 a.m. at Conwell-Egan Catholic High School in Fairless Hills.

The parade will march down New Falls Road before ending at the Levittown American Baseball Fields in Falls Township (directly across from the Thornridge Shopping Center).

More than 2,000 marchers will participate, organizers said. Participants include local marching bands, pipe bands, Irish dance groups, South Philadelphia-based mummers and string bands, Eagles' play-by-play announcer Merrill Reese, local law enforcement and emergency responders, veterans, community groups, and hosts of proud Irish-American participants.

"To celebrate the 30th year, all marchers will wear arm bands signifying the Parade Committee’s efforts in bringing together the community for the past three decades," the event announcement said.

The 2018 Parade Grand Marshals will be the Rev. Fidelis Weber and “Brother Larry” Hilferty.

Parade day will begin with a special Catholic mass honoring the Grand Marshals at 8 a.m. at the Conwell-Egan Catholic High School Chapel. The day will end at the “Hoolie” — held for the first time this year at the Ancient Order of Hibernians on Corson Street in Bristol, with food donated by McCaffrey's Food Markets.

Due to extremely limited parking at the Bristol A.O.H., attendees are asked to park at nearby Snyder/Girotti Elementary School (Buckley and Beaver Streets) and at the Bristol Train Station (Jefferson and Prospect Streets) where a complimentary shuttle will be running between 1 and 4 p.m., organizers said.
