Update: Burlington-Bristol Bridge Reopens After Crash

Update: 1:53 p.m. Friday

BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA —The Burlington-Bristol Bridge and overpass have reopened after being closed in both directions Friday afternoon due to a crash that brought down multiple power poles and lines, fire officials said.

The Bristol Borough Fire Police said that while the bridge is now open to traffic, there still may be some delays.

Due to a motor vehicle accident on Route 413 near the Burlington Bristol Bridge, the bridge was closed in both directions until further notice. This accident took down power lines and poles which have caused power outages in parts of Bristol Township and Borough, fire police said.

Authorities said a tractor-trailer brought down the poles and power lines. Some residents on a Bristol Township Facebook page said that they were without power and that PECO said the delay could be several hours.

The Bristol Township Police Department said there was a crash in the area of Veterans Highway and State Road.
