FAIRLESS HILLS, PA —A motor vehicle crash closed southbound Route 1, causing delays for commuters on both sides of the highway. The road reopened just before 5 p.m. Wednesday. Brad Rudolph, a spokesman for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said the crash happened around 2:15 p.m. Wednesday. He said that PennDOT assistance was not needed for the crash on the highway between Stony Hill Road and North Oxford Valley Road. Southbound Route 1 remains closed at Route 32 while police handle the crash and investigation, Rudolph said. The extent of vehicles involved and injuries was unknown at this time.
