Fire Chief: Dryer Explosion, Fires In Bucks County

An exploding dryer rocked the first story of a commerical building and has started multiple small fires, according to Falls Township Fire Chief Mike McClellan.

The fire began around noon on Thursday on Bordentown Road in Falls Township, McClellan said.

The incident took place nside a US Steel building in the industrial complex there.

“There were numerous spot fires we found when we investigated,” McClellan said. “We had them out in about an hour.”

Nine other fire companies assisted Falls Township with the blaze.
