Employee Stole $33K From Dick's Sporting Goods: Falls Twp. PD
Falls Township Police said they recovered $27,500 of the stolen cash. A Lower Makefield Township man has been charged.

FALLS TOWNSHIP, PA —A Lower Makefield Township man has been charged with burglary for using his employee keys to steal $33,750 from Dick's Sporting Goods in Fairless Hills, police said.
Brandon K. Pogorzelski, 39, of Lower Makefield Township was charged with burglary, criminal trespassing, theft, and receiving stolen property.
He was preliminarily arraigned by District Justice John Galloway and sent to Bucks County Prison in lieu of $25,000 with 10 percent cash bail.

Police said they recovered $27,500.
At 4:56 a.m. on Jan. 26, Bucks County Radio dispatched Officers to Dick's Sporting Goods at 150 Commerce Blvd. in Fairless Hills for the report of an alarm.

It was discovered upon arrival that the front double doors had been opened beyond business hours with a key, the security gate directly next to the front double doors had been opened with a key, and about $33,750.30 in cash had been taken from the combination safe in the manager's office, police said.
The manager's office also required a key for entry.
The only individuals employed at Dick's Sporting Goods who have keys for the front double door, security gate, and manager's office are the nine store managers. In addition, only the nine store managers know the combination safe code containing the cash.
The investigation revealed that Pogorzelski used his employee key to open the front double door key outside business hours at 4:50 a.m. on Jan. 20. He then used his employee key to open the security gate, police said.
Pogorzelski then entered the employee breakroom and subsequently used his key to enter the manager's office. Defendant Pogorzelski then entered the safe combination and took nine clear plastic bags containing $33,750.30 in cash.
Pogorzelski then left the store through the rear of Dick's Sporting Goods, police said.
At no point was Pogorzelski authorized to enter Dick's Sporting Goods during these hours. At no point was Pogorzelski authorized to take any money from the combination safe in the manager's office, police said.
