Bristol Borough Fire Chief Herb Slack said the cause of the fire was being investigated by the Bucks County Fire Marshal’s Office.

The damage to the six rowhomes varied, but several were badly damaged, the chief said.

Slack did not return a phone call from Patch Tuesday morning seeking comment.

The Penndel Volunteer Fire Company Station 8 was one of the responders.

The fire company said that Tower 8 was dispatched on the 2nd alarm and was assigned to the roof by command. The Tower was able to gain position while the crew operated on the roof, opening several holes to support suppression efforts.
