Fireworks Cause $4,000 Worth Of Damage In Lower Bucks
State Police have charged a Hulmeville man in the incident near apartments and the Pine Watson Shopping Center on Pine Street in Langhorne.
LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA —A 28-year-old Hulmeville Borough man has been charged with lighting off fireworks that caused a fire near an apartment building and caused $4,000 in damage, state police said.
The man, who state police did not name, was charged with criminal mischief with damage to property and consumer fireworks discharged within 150 feet of a building or vehicle. The charges were issued last Friday through summons.
Pennsylvania State Police said the fire happened recently behind the closed Wells Fargo Bank in the Pine Watson Shopping Center on Pine Street in Langhorne Borough.

State Police said there was a burst of flames before the Langhorne-Middletown Fire Company put the fire out. See the video below.
Troopers said they talked with a witness who watched a group of people light off a mortar firework, which caused the blaze.

The man who allegedly lit the firework fled the scene but told state police that he “felt bad” and returned to “take responsibility” for lighting the mortar.
Troopers said the shopping center management valued the damage to the plants at $4,000, and there could be $200 more in damage.
