Forsythia Crossing Bridge Closes After PennDOT Inspection

The Forsythia Crossing Bridge is closed to vehicular traffic effective immediately, Middletown Township Police announced Friday.

A recent inspection by PennDOT structural engineers found that the bridge is unsafe for vehicular traffic. It will remain open for pedistrian traffic, police said.

This bridge connects the Forsythia Gate and Snowball Gate section of Levittown.

According to police, the Middletown Township Board of Supervisors authorized bridge repairs at a meeting in July. That work is scheduled to begin in the ”near future,” according to information from police. 

The bridge will remain closed until the project is completed.
