House Fire Reignites, Under Investigation In Bristol Borough

For the second time in less than 24 hours, a Buckley Street home caught fire. Fire officials said both fires Friday are under investigation.

BRISTOL BOROUGH, PA —For the second time in less than a day, a fire reignited at a home on Buckley Street, fire crews said.

The Croydon Fire Company once again assisted Bristol Borough firefighters Friday night after being dispatched to a house fire in the 200 block of Buckley Street.

Fifteen members from Croydon responded to the call to help Bristol firefighters extinguish the blaze.

They were joined by the America Hose, Hook, and Ladder, Bristol, Bristol Consolidated, Edgely, Goodwill Hose, Newportville, Newport, Penndel, and the Third District fire companies.

The first fire happened at the home between Race and Spruce streets around 1 a.m. on Friday. The second fire took place around 7:30 p.m., fire officials said.

Bristol Consolidated said that firefighters from Bristol Borough and surrounding communities encountered heavy fire conditions in the rear of the home. Fire officials said the blaze took over an hour to control.

Both fires are currently under investigation by the Bucks County Fire Marshal's Office.

Tac and Engine 50 responded again later in the night for a hotspot.

Utilizing TAC 50s Compressed Air Foam System, firefighters soaked the entire structure and contents with a layer of foam.

No one was injured at the time of the second blaze, fire officials said.
