Interstate 295, Route 1 Bridge Work Resumes In Lower Bucks Co.

PennDOT said the work starts Monday on both roadways in Middletown Township this week.

LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA —Bridge repair and roadway construction will resume on Interstate 295 and Route 1 in Middletown Township this week, PennDOT said.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:

  • Monday, Dec. 16, through Thursday, Dec. 19, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., the following morning, a single lane closure will be in place on eastbound and westbound I-295 approaching U.S. 1 for bridge repair.
  • Monday, December 16, through Thursday, December 19, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., a right or left lane closure will be in place on southbound U.S. 1 approaching the I-295 overpass for a traffic shift.
  • Tuesday, Dec. 17, through Thursday, Dec. 19, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a right lane closure will be in place on southbound U.S. 1 approaching the I-295 overpass for barrier installation.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur.
