Interstate 295, Route 1 Bridge Construction Starts In Lower Bucks Co.

LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA —The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said bridge repair and roadway construction will occur on Interstate 295 and Route 1 this week.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:

• Monday, Dec. 9, through Thursday, Dec. 12, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, a single-lane closure will be in place on eastbound I-295 approaching U.S. 1 for bridge repair.
• Wednesday, Dec. 11, and Thursday, Dec. 12, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., a right or left lane closure will occur on southbound Route 1 approaching the Interstate 295 overpass for sign installation.
• Friday, Dec. 13, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, a right lane closure will occur on southbound Route 1 approaching the Interstate 295 overpass for barrier installation.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur.
