Lane Closures Into May For Levittown Paving Project

LEVITTOWN, PA —Patching and road resurfacing on Levittown Parkway begins Monday and may last into early May, PennDOT said.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has announced that it is repairing and paving more than 200 miles of state highways across the Philadelphia region, including Levittown.

• Monday, April 17, through early May, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., alternating lane closures are scheduled on Levittown Parkway/Oxford Valley Road between New Falls Road and Hood Boulevard/Southway Drive in Falls and Bristol townships for milling and paving.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Under these resurfacing projects, PennDOT is milling the existing roadway surfaces and repaving the state highways with new asphalt. The new pavement will seal the roadways and provide motorists with a smoother riding surface.
