Lane Closures Next Week On I-95, I-295
The closures will be happening both during daytime and nighttime hours for the project to repair and resurface 13 miles of the interstates.

LEVITTOWN, PA — Road and highway lane closures will continue in Lower Bucks County next week as work on Interstate 95 and Interstate 295 continues.
The closures will be happening both during daytime and nighttime hours for the project to repair and resurface 13 miles of the interstates in Bensalem, Bristol, Middletown and Lower Makefield townships.
PennDOT on Thursday announced the following lane closures for next week:

- Single-lane closures in both directions on I-95 on Monday, Jan. 21 through Friday, Jan. 5, from 7 p.m.-5 a.m. The closures will be between the Academy Road and Pennsylvania Turnpike interchanges for guide rail installation.
- A single-lane closure on I-295 between the U.S. 1 and Business U.S. 1 interchanges for concrete pad placement. The closure will be Tuesday, Jan. 22, through Friday, Jan. 25 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling on I-95 and I-295 in the work areas because backups and delays are expected to occur. All of the scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Under the project, PennDOT is milling, overlaying and fixing up existing pavement, performing base repairs, installing new guide rail, repairing or replacing damaged traffic signs, performing minor bridge deck repairs and installing rumble strips and delineators along the I-95 and I-295 corridor in Bucks County.

James J. Anderson Construction Company, Inc. of Philadelphia is the general contractor on the roughly $29 million project, which is financed with 80 percent federal and 20 percent state funds.
