Overnight lane closures are planned this week on southbound I-95 in Bucks County for resurfacing operations, PennDOT announced.

The lane closures are planned between the Route 413 and Route 132 interchanges on Monday, March 19, through Friday, March 23, from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. The closures required as part of a project to repair and resurface 13 miles of I-95 in Bensalem, Bristol, Middletown and Lower Makefield.

Drivers should expect backups and delays.

Under this improvement project, PennDOT is milling, overlaying and rehabilitating existing pavement; performing base repairs; installing new guide rail; repairing or replacing damaged traffic signs; performing minor bridge deck repairs; and installing rumble strips and delineators along the I-95 corridor in Bucks County.

The $30 million project is scheduled to be completed in the fall, PennDOT said.
