Lanes To Close At 2 Falls Twp. Intersections Next Week

The closures are part of a state plan to make curbs at intersections safer. Other intersections in and around Levittown are on the list.

FALLS TOWNSHIP, PA — Lane closures at several Bucks County intersections, including two in Falls Township, are planned next week to install curb ramps.

Earlier this month, Gov. Tom Wolf's office announced plans to install 73 Americans With Disabilities act-compliant curb ramps at 18 intersections in Bucks County.

Next week, work will be going on at Big Oak Road and Trenton Avenue and at Trenton Avenue and Plaza Boulevard. The lane closures are scheduled from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 22 through Friday, Oct. 26.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the area because there will be slowdowns.

"The construction of these facilities represents PennDOT's ongoing commitment to upgrading and improving access and mobility for citizens," Wolf said when the project was announced. "Our goal is to improve and maintain safety for pedestrians and motorists alike."
