Lower Bucks Man Shot Partygoer After Argument: Police
New York State Police have charged a Penndel man in a shooting following a dispute at a party last week.
LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA —A Penndel man is being charged with attempted murder following a verbal argument in which he shot someone at a party in New York State, police said.
New York State Police said that the Bureau of Criminal Investigation out of State Police Amity (NY) arrested Gregory S. Miller, 54 of Penndel, for Attempted Murder 2nd degree, Assault 1st degree, Reckless Endangerment 1st degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd degree (two counts), Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd and Criminal Use of a Weapon 1st degree.
Police said that at 9:45 p.m. on July 3, State Troopers responded to Smith Hollow Rd in the town of Wellsville for a shooting involving injury.

An investigation determined that after several hours of consuming alcohol, Miller had a verbal argument with the 48-year-old male victim.
Miller then went to his vehicle, a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado, and returned with a Springfield Armory .45 ACP.

Miller then discharged the firearm several times at the victim, striking him one time in the lower left leg. He was disarmed and held down by the others at the party until troopers arrived on the scene and took Miller into custody.
The victim was originally taken to Jones Memorial Hospital in Wellsville, N.Y. for the non-life-threatening injury to his leg. He was later transferred to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester for further treatment.
Miller was transported to SP Amity and processed. He was transported to Allegany County Jail for a CAP arraignment.
