More I-95, I-295 Lane Closures Next Week
The $29.6 million work on on a 13-mile stretch of the highways will continue in the evening and overnight hours.

LEVITTOWN, PA — Double-lane closures will once again be in effect on Interstate 95 and Interstate 295 next week as crews work to repair and resurface a 13-mile stretch of the highways.
The lane closures will be in both directions between the Rt. 132 (Street Road) and Rt. 314 (Bristol) interchanges. They're in effect Monday, Nov. 12, through Friday, Nov. 16, from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Several different projects are going on in an area that includes Bensalem, Bristol, Middletown and Lower Makefield. It is, in all, a $29.6 million project funded with 80 percent federal and 20 percent state money.

There also will be single-lane and shoulder closures on northbound and southbound I-95 between the Academy Road and Pennsylvania Turnpike interchanges Monday through Friday during the same times. Those will be for guard-rail installations.
Drivers in those areas are advised to allow extra time when traveling during the work hours. The schedule could change based on weather, PennDOT said.
