Neshaminy School Board Approves Teacher Contract
The contract, approved Tuesday, includes an annual average salary increase of 2.4% for teachers.
LEVITTOWN, PA – The Neshaminy School District board has given final approval to a new contract for teachers that will give the educators an average 2.4% annual raise over the next five years.
The school board voted unanimously Tuesday evening to approve the contract, which came after months of sometimes bitter acrimony between teachers and the board. The Neshaminy Federation of Teachers had voted to approve the contract last week.
Under terms of the deal, which will run through June 30, 2024, union members will get salary increases each year that average out to 2.4%. By year, the increases will be 3.1%, 2.4%, 2.1%, 2.% and 2.3%.
