Neshaminy Teachers Sign Off On New Contract
The contract, which had been in dispute for months in the Levittown-based district, was approved overwhelmingly, union officials say.
LEVITTOWN, PA — Teachers in the Neshaminy School District have voted overwhelmingly to ratify a new, five-year contract.
The Neshaminy Federation of Teachers voted to approve the deal, which had been reached last week after months of negotiations, Tuesday night. It now must be approved by the district's school board, which meets on Tuesday, Sept. 24.
According to the union, the five-year deal would apply retroactively from July 1 and run through June 30, 2024.

"We are pleased that our members have voted to accept the agreement and we look forward to the district vote of acceptance on September 24 so that everyone can focus on our core mission of providing the students of the Neshaminy School District the finest education possible," said NFT President Tara Huber.
Huber called the new contract "fair and equitable," saying it paves the way for a work environment that helps teachers provide students the best education possible. She said its language provides financial security for teachers and gives "voice and agency not only for the federation's professional staff but for students and parents as well."
